You can check your PM-Kisan beneficiary status on pmkisan.gov.in under Know Your Status, using your 11-digit registration number and an OTP. The page shows whether your land seeding, e-KYC and Aadhaar-bank seeding are complete, and the payment details of each instalment. A “No” in any of those checks is the usual reason an instalment is held, and each has its own fix.

How to check status with your registration number

  1. Open pmkisan.gov.in and go to Farmers Corner.
  2. Click Know Your Status.
  3. Enter your 11-digit registration number and the captcha.
  4. Click Get OTP and enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  5. Read the status fields and the instalment-wise payment details.

If you do not know your registration number, click Know Your Registration No. on the same page. You can search by the mobile number or Aadhaar number you registered with. If you registered yourself or through a CSC and are still awaiting approval, use Status of Self Registered Farmer/CSC Farmers, which takes your Aadhaar number.

The same status is available on the PM-Kisan mobile app and through Kisan eMitra, the portal’s chatbot.

Reading the status fields

The status page groups your record into eligibility checks and payment details. News guides such as Goodreturns describe the checks as simple Yes or No flags.

Field What “Yes” means If it says “No”
Eligibility status You are an approved beneficiary Read the reason given for ineligibility
Land seeding Your land record is verified and linked by the state Contact your revenue or agriculture office
e-KYC status Aadhaar e-KYC is done Complete e-KYC by OTP, CSC or face scan
Aadhaar-bank account seeding Your account is Aadhaar-seeded for DBT Ask your bank to seed Aadhaar and enable DBT

For each instalment, the payment section shows the payment status, bank name, UTR number, payment mode, the account credited and the credit date. Use the UTR number when you raise a query with your bank. The page also lists e-KYC by financial year, and can show a reason for stopped payment or a recovery notice.

Suspected ineligible cases

The department says it has flagged some records for physical checking and withheld their benefits until the check is done. Its examples are farmers who became landowners after 1 February 2019, and families where more than one member receives the benefit, such as husband and wife, or an adult and a minor. Under the scheme, a family means husband, wife and minor children.

The scheme also excludes institutional landholders and people who paid income tax in the last assessment year. Retired pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more are excluded, as are registered professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects in practice.

Payment failure reasons

Payments go only to Aadhaar-seeded accounts, a rule in force since the 13th instalment (December 2022 to March 2023). The agriculture ministry told the Lok Sabha that the main reasons for failed transfers are:

  • the bank removed your Aadhaar from the NPCI mapper (de-seeding);
  • your Aadhaar is not mapped to your account number;
  • the account is closed.

Failed payments are reprocessed from time to time. Once the error is fixed, the ministry says the benefit is released with the next release.

Checking the village beneficiary list

  1. On pmkisan.gov.in, open Beneficiary List in Farmers Corner.
  2. Select your state, district, sub-district, block and village.
  3. Click Get Report and look for your name.

The list shows who is on the rolls in your village. Your own payment and e-KYC details are only on Know Your Status. If an eligible family is missing from the list, the scheme’s FAQ says it can approach the District Level Grievance Redressal Monitoring Committee.

Fixing land seeding and Aadhaar-bank seeding

Land seeding “No”

  1. Check that the land record is in your name on your state’s land records portal. Our Bhulekh guide explains how.
  2. If the mutation is pending, get it completed at the tehsil or revenue office.
  3. Take the record and your Aadhaar to the block or district agriculture office and ask for land seeding on PM-Kisan.
  4. Check Know Your Status again after the state uploads the correction.

The ministry says records with errors are sent back to the state, and benefits are released with the next instalment once corrected data arrives.

Aadhaar-bank seeding “No”

  1. Visit your bank branch with your Aadhaar card and passbook.
  2. Ask the bank to seed Aadhaar to the account and map it on the NPCI mapper for DBT.
  3. Keep the account active; a closed account causes a failed transfer.
  4. Recheck your status before the next instalment.

The ministry also runs seeding drives with states, CSCs and India Post Payments Bank. PM-Kisan is income support; for crop loans and the Kisan Credit Card, see our agriculture loans page, and our list of government financial schemes for other help.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check PM-Kisan status with my Aadhaar card?

Use Know Your Registration No. and search by Aadhaar number to get your registration number. Then enter it on Know Your Status with the OTP.

How do I check PM-Kisan payment status?

Open Know Your Status. Each instalment shows payment status, bank name, UTR number, payment mode and the date credited.

Why does my status say land seeding “No”?

Your state has not yet verified and linked your land record. Contact your revenue or agriculture office with your land papers.

What does DBT mean on the PM-Kisan status page?

Direct Benefit Transfer. The money goes straight to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account, so your bank must have Aadhaar mapped for DBT.

How do I see the PM-Kisan beneficiary list village-wise?

Open Beneficiary List on pmkisan.gov.in, choose state, district, sub-district, block and village, and click Get Report.

My status is all “Yes” but I did not get the money. What now?

Check the payment status and UTR number for that instalment, then ask your bank whether the account is active and Aadhaar-mapped. You can also ask Kisan eMitra on the portal.

When is the next PM-Kisan instalment?

No date had been announced as of 16 September 2026. The 23rd instalment was released on 20 June 2026.
