An independent research service for Indian money — built because the alternative was a marketplace pretending to be one.
What we do
Credsir compares the financial products available to Indian households — credit cards, loans, deposits, investments, insurance and tax — on the numbers that decide the outcome rather than the numbers used to sell them. Today that means 322 comparison guides across 11 verticals, 58 calculators built for Indian tax law, and a research archive of 600+ articles.
Why it exists
India has excellent financial comparison traffic and very little financial comparison. Most of the largest sites in the category are lead-generation businesses: the ranking is the product, and it is for sale. That is a legitimate business, but it should not be described as research.
We earn money the same way — through partner links and advertising. The difference is structural. Our rankings come from a formula we publish, running on the same fields for every product, with no input for commercial relationship. You can check our working.
How we work
- Every figure is dated and sourced. No rate appears on this site without the day it was captured and where it came from.
- Fees include GST. The 18% on a credit card annual fee is real money. It belongs in the comparison.
- Advertised rates are labelled as the floor. The lowest number in a table is what the strongest applicant gets, not what you will be quoted.
- Calculators run in your browser. Your income, loans and PAN never reach our servers.
- We name bad products. Including ones sold by institutions we work with elsewhere.
What we are not
Credsir is not a financial adviser, broker, distributor or intermediary. We are not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser and we do not provide personalised recommendations. Everything here is general information for Indian readers. For advice specific to your situation, speak to a SEBI-registered investment adviser or a qualified chartered accountant.
