Ria money transfer rate to India today

Ria earns money in two ways: a transfer fee and a margin on the exchange rate. Its own blog says its rate is set at a margin from the mid-market rate, and the margin varies by currency and destination. The mid-market rate is the midpoint of global buy and sell prices, and Ria’s converter shows it “for reference only”.

In the quote we checked, Ria’s standard rate of ₹95.64 was about 0.4% below the ₹96.03 mid-market figure on its converter. On $500, that gap is worth about ₹195, on top of the $1.99 fee. The promotional first-transfer rate of ₹96.62 was above the mid-market figure, so a first transfer cost less than later ones.

$500 sent by debit card to a bank account Recipient gets Fee
