Salary Credit Rules and Associated Features
SBI salary package accounts require regular monthly credits to retain special account features. If monthly salary is not credited into the account for more than 3 consecutive months, the special features stand withdrawn. The bank then treats the account as a Normal Savings Account without prior information and applies standard charges. Active salary accounts offer zero balance requirements, no monthly average balance charges, and free online RTGS or NEFT transfers through digital channels. Account holders can also receive maximum up to 50% concession on annual locker rental charges as per variant eligibility. You can view locker fee details on our Bank Locker Charges Rules page. Accounts also include an optional Auto Sweep facility once the account balance reaches the threshold of ₹35,000.
