What it costs a month at both ends of the published range.
What it costs per month
On ₹5,00,000 over 5 years.
| Rate | EMI | Total interest |
|---|---|---|
| 10.99% | ₹10,869 | ₹1,52,123 |
| 33.00% | ₹17,110 | ₹5,26,601 |
Principal and interest only. The processing fee, GST, documentation and any insurance sold alongside the loan are additional.
Those two rows are the same loan at either end of the lender’s published range: ₹6,241 a month between them, and ₹3,74,477 over the full term. That spread is far wider than anything on a secured loan, which is what makes the personal loan the product where your own profile matters most. For a different amount or tenure, run it through the EMI calculator.
Where you land in the range
10.99% is the advertised floor, not an offer. It goes to salaried applicants with a strong bureau record; the 33.00% row is the lender’s own upper limit. Where you land between the two is decided by your credit score, your income and your existing obligations, not by negotiation. The rest of the terms are on the Tata Capital personal loan page.
How it compares
Tata Capital is the joint 7th cheapest of the 8 providers we track — 1.00 percentage point above HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and IDFC First Bank at 9.99%. Before taking the advertised rate at face value, check it against the full board on personal loan interest rates today.
What the EMI leaves out
An EMI is principal and interest. The processing fee, the GST on it, documentation charges and any insurance sold alongside the loan sit outside the monthly figure.
Read the fee together with the rate, not separately. Where a fee is quoted without tax, add 18% GST to get what you actually pay. On a personal loan — small principal, short term — a low rate with a high fee is often the costlier deal.
Terms change without notice. Confirm the current figures with Tata Capital before you act.
