SBI home loan interest rate for a 750 CIBIL score
SBI prices home loans on your CIBIL score, but its public rate card gives only the full 7.25%–8.55% band, not a rate for each score. The lowest rate goes to borrowers with the strongest scores. A 750 score is usually treated as good, yet it may not get the 7.25% floor, and a non-salaried borrower below 825 pays 0.10% more.
To find your exact rate:
- Check your CIBIL score for free on the CIBIL website.
- Apply on SBI’s home loan site, the YONO app or at a branch, and ask for your sanctioned rate.
- Ask for the Key Facts Statement, which shows the rate, fees and total cost before you sign.
How the SBI home loan rate is linked to the repo rate
Under RBI rules, new floating-rate retail loans must be linked to an external benchmark. SBI uses the repo rate: its EBLR is 7.90% plus a credit risk premium and a bank spread, effective 15 December 2025. It was 8.15% before the RBI cut the repo rate from 5.50% to 5.25% on 5 December 2025.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| When the repo rate falls, | SBI lowers its EBLR and your rate falls at the next reset. |
| Reset timing. | Rates on external-benchmark loans must reset at least once every three months. |
| Your spread. | The credit risk part can change only if your credit assessment changes substantially. |
Older SBI loans may still be on MCLR, which does not track the repo rate as directly. SBI’s one-year MCLR is 8.70%, effective 15 September 2026. You can move to EBLR for a fee of ₹5,000 plus GST. Our guide to home loan interest rates in different banks explains how other lenders set their rates.
What the SBI rate means for your EMI
For a ₹50 lakh loan over 20 years:

The 1.30-point gap costs ₹9,67,373 more over the loan. On a ₹30 lakh loan over 20 years, the EMI is ₹23,711 at 7.25% and ₹26,130 at 8.55%. Try other amounts in our EMI calculator.
