The AwaasSoft report “A.2 House progress against the target financial year” lists every PMAY-Gramin house in a gram panchayat. Each row shows the registration number, sanction number and date, amount sanctioned, instalments paid, amount released and the house’s current stage. When the stage has moved ahead but the instalment count has not, a payment is stuck.

What AwaasSoft is

AwaasSoft is the Ministry of Rural Development’s online system for PMAY-G. The scheme’s Framework for Implementation (2022) says selection of beneficiaries, payments, progress checks and fund releases all run through it. Inspectors or beneficiaries photograph each construction stage on the AwaasApp mobile app. The geo-tagged, time-stamped photos are uploaded to AwaasSoft, and payments follow from those records.

The public side has two parts. The beneficiary search pages sit on awaassoft.pmayg.dord.gov.in. The MIS reports sit on report.pmayg.dord.gov.in, reached from the Report menu on the PMAY-G home page.

Which report to open for beneficiary details

  1. Go to pmayg.dord.gov.in and open Report, or go straight to the MIS reports page.
  2. Under “A. Physical Progress Reports”, click “House progress against the target financial year”.
  3. In Selection Filters, keep “PMAYG Cumulative progress till date” to see all years, or pick one financial year.
  4. Keep the scheme as Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin.
  5. Select your state, then district, block and panchayat. Each choice loads the next list.
  6. Click Submit. At panchayat level the table switches from totals to one row per house.
  7. Use Download Excel or Download PDF to keep a copy dated with the “As On” time shown on the report.

Have your registration number? Use “Search IAY/PMAY-G Beneficiary Details” under Stakeholders instead. It accepts a registration number or beneficiary ID of 9 to 60 characters. Registration numbers in the report begin with a state code; Bihar’s begin with BH.

Column by column: the beneficiary-level table

Spotting a stuck instalment

Each state decides at the start of the year how many instalments it pays and which stage triggers each one. The framework requires the second instalment at foundation or plinth, and the third at windowsill, lintel or roof cast. The “Unit assistance and installment details” report (under B. Financial Progress Reports) shows your state’s split. For 2025-26 in plain areas, the MIS shows:

State 1st (at sanction) 2nd 3rd 4th
Bihar ₹40,000 ₹40,000 at plinth ₹40,000 at roof cast None
Uttar Pradesh ₹40,000 ₹70,000 at plinth ₹10,000 at roof cast None
Rajasthan ₹15,000 ₹45,000 at plinth ₹60,000 at roof cast None
Maharashtra ₹15,000 ₹70,000 at plinth ₹30,000 at lintel ₹5,000 at completion

Other states set their own splits, and the figures can change each year. Compare your row with your state’s split:

ItemDetails
Status Plinth, 1 instalment paidthe plinth stage is verified but the second instalment has not been paid, in a state that pays it at plinth.
Status Roof Cast, 2 instalments paidthe third instalment is due in a state that pays it at roof cast.
Status House Sanctioned, 0 instalmentsthe first instalment should have been paid within 7 working days of sanction.
You have built further than the status showsthe stage photo has not been taken or approved yet. Ask the gram panchayat or block to inspect.

If the stage and count match but the money has not arrived, check the bank side. Under “F. E-FMS Reports”, “Payments rejected by bank” and “FTO pendency with banks” show state totals. The Rural Housing FTO Tracking System on AwaasSoft traces a single fund transfer order by FTO number or PFMS ID.

Reading the district and block summary figures

Above panchayat level, the same report shows totals in these columns: MoRD Target, Sanctions Out of GEO Tagged, Sanctions with verified Accounts, instalments 1st to 4th, Completed & verified and Completed. On 17 September 2026, Bihar’s cumulative row showed 49,09,842 sanctions and 42,72,228 completed houses, with 0 in the 4th column because Bihar pays three instalments. A large gap between the 2nd and 3rd columns in your block means many houses are stuck before the third payment. The note on the report says AwaasPlus 2024 progress is not included in these cumulative figures.

Common mismatches and who fixes them

Problem Who fixes it
Name or parent’s name spelt wrongly Block office, through AwaasSoft beneficiary management
Payment rejected by bank, account inactive or details wrong Your bank, then the block office to update and re-verify the account
Stage not updated after construction Gram panchayat or block inspector, through AwaasApp
Instalment amount differs from the state split District rural development agency (DRDA/zila parishad)
Not on the list at all Gram sabha and the appeal route; see our PMAY-G waiting list guide

Using the report in a complaint

  1. Download the panchayat report as PDF and note the “As On” date and time.
  2. Write down your registration number, sanction number and date, instalments paid and house status.
  3. Write down your state’s instalment split from the installment details report.
  4. Take photos of the current stage of your house.
  5. Give a written complaint to the grievance officer designated at gram panchayat or block level. The framework asks them to dispose of it within 15 days.
  6. If it is not resolved, escalate to the district and state levels or file on CPGRAMS (pgportal.gov.in). The Ministry forwards CPGRAMS complaints to the state, which should send an action taken report within a month.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see the PMAY-G beneficiary list village-wise?

Open the “House progress against the target financial year” report, choose state, district, block and panchayat, and submit. The table lists every house with its village.

How do I search PMAY-G beneficiary details on AwaasSoft?

Use “Search IAY/PMAY-G Beneficiary Details” under Stakeholders on the PMAY-G site. Enter your registration number or beneficiary ID and the captcha.

What does House Status “Roof Cast” mean?

The roof-cast stage has been photographed and verified in AwaasSoft. In states that pay the third instalment at roof cast, that payment should follow.

Why does Amount Released show less than the sanctioned amount?

Instalments are paid as each stage is verified, so the amount grows as construction moves ahead. The full amount is released only after the last mapped stage.

How often is the AwaasSoft report updated?

Each report shows an “As On” date and time. Rows in colour, the report notes, are not as on date, so check again after a few days.

Does the report include AwaasPlus 2024 households?

No. The cumulative progress report notes that AwaasPlus 2024 progress is not included.
