Which PMAY Gramin list do you need?

“PMAY-G list” can mean three different lists. Under the PMAY-G Framework for Implementation (2022), they work like this:

ItemDetails
Permanent Wait List (PWL).Every eligible household in a gram panchayat, ranked separately for SC, ST and other categories. The gram sabha verifies it, and it is published on the panchayat notice board and the PMAY-G website.
Annual Select List.Each year, the state splits its target across panchayats. Households are picked from the top of the PWL until the panchayat’s target for that category is used up.
Sanctioned beneficiaries.Households on the select list whose bank account, nominee and MGNREGS job card details have been entered. Each gets a sanction order with a PMAY-G ID and QR code.

So a name on the 2026 list does not always mean a house has been sanctioned. Your rank decides when your turn comes.

How to check the PMAY Gramin list 2026 village-wise

  1. Open pmayg.dord.gov.in.
  2. Click Most Often Used Services and choose “Panchayat Wise permanentwait List”. The report opens on report.pmayg.dord.gov.in.
  3. Select your state, then district, block and gram panchayat from the drop-down lists.
  4. Click Submit. The table lists each household’s registration number, beneficiary name, father’s and mother’s names, category and priority.
  5. Click Download PDF or Download Excel to save the list.

A registration number starts with the state code, for example BH for Bihar. Note yours down: you need it to track sanction and payments. For that step, see our guide to PM Awas Gramin list name check and beneficiary status.

Other reports on the portal

ItemDetails
House progress against the target financial year (A.2)state-wise targets, sanctions, instalments and completions.
Year Wise Sanctionhouses sanctioned in each year from 2016-17 to 2026-27, by state.
Installment Detailsthe unit assistance and instalments by state.

PMAY-G sanctions by year

The Year Wise Sanction report showed these national totals on 17 September 2026:

Year Houses sanctioned
2024-25 64,23,263
2025-26 32,42,182
2026-27 (to 17 September) 1,05,483

Sanctions for 2026-27 are still small, so many 2026-27 names will appear only as states issue sanctions during the year. Check your panchayat’s list again every few months.

Who gets on the list

The list is built from the Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 and the Awaas+ surveys. Households that are houseless or live in kutcha houses of 0, 1 or 2 rooms qualify, subject to exclusions. The Cabinet approved modified exclusion criteria in 2024 for updating the Awaas+ list. The portal’s “Am I Eligible?” check asks, among other things, whether any household member:

  • owns a pucca house, or lives in a house with more than 2 rooms;
  • owns a motorised three- or four-wheeler, or mechanised farm equipment of that kind;
  • has a Kisan Credit Card with a limit of ₹50,000 or more;
  • is a government employee, pays income tax or professional tax, or earns more than ₹15,000 a month;
  • runs a non-farm business registered with the government;
  • owns 2.5 acres or more of irrigated land, or 5 acres or more of unirrigated land.

A yes to any of these makes the household ineligible. Households with no shelter, destitute families, manual scavengers, primitive tribal groups and legally released bonded labourers are included automatically.

If your name is not on the list

  1. Make sure you selected the gram panchayat your village actually falls under, and looked in the right category (SC, ST or others).
  2. Ask your gram panchayat secretary or block office whether your household was covered by the Awaas+ 2024 survey. The survey app allows assisted surveys and self-surveys with Aadhaar face authentication.
  3. Check the survey deadline. On 10 September 2026 the portal posted a circular giving states extra time to finish the Awaas+ 2024 survey.
  4. If you were removed or your rank changed, complain within 15 days after the verified list has been displayed for seven days. The block’s competent authority reports to a three-member district appellate committee.
  5. For other grievances, use the CPGRAMS link (pgportal.gov.in) on the PMAY-G site.

Urban households are covered by a separate scheme, PMAY-U 2.0. Our page on PMAY and government housing schemes compares the two.
