Best Credit Cards With Airport Lounge Access in India

Pick a lounge card whose spend condition you meet: Scapia is free with unlimited domestic visits in ₹20,000 months; Infinia is unlimited worldwide.

The best credit card for lounge access is one whose spend condition you already meet. Of the 16 cards we track, Scapia Federal Bank has no fee and unlimited domestic lounge visits in any month you spend ₹20,000. IndusInd Bank Tiger gives 2 domestic visits a quarter and 2 international visits a year.

For frequent travel abroad, HDFC Bank Infinia gives unlimited domestic and international access to primary and add-on cardholders, for ₹14,750 a year with GST. Most issuers now link visits to your recent spending, so the visit count is a ceiling. Abroad, your card’s forex markup usually costs more than a lounge saves.

Which credit cards give airport lounge access in India?

These are the cards in our tracked set that offer any lounge access. Fees are shown with the 18% GST included, because that is what leaves your account. Visit counts are the issuer’s stated annual maximum.

What does one lounge visit actually cost on each card?

Divide the annual fee by the visits you will really use. That single sum reorders the table.

Axis ACE costs ₹589 for 4 domestic visits. That is about ₹147 a visit. Tata Neu Infinity costs ₹1,769 for 12 visits, or about ₹147 each. HDFC Regalia Gold costs ₹2,950 for 18 visits, or about ₹164 each. Those sums assume you meet every quarterly spend condition in the table below.

Axis Atlas costs ₹5,900, and its visits depend on your tier. The base Silver tier gives 8 domestic and 4 international visits, about ₹492 a visit. Only the top Platinum tier gives the 18 domestic and 12 international visits shown in our table, about ₹197 a visit. Axis Bank’s own example assumes ₹15 lakh of annual spend for Platinum.

The cheap cards are only cheap if you fly enough to burn the quota. A person who takes four domestic flights a year gets nothing extra from Atlas. They pay ten times more for the same four visits. The correct card is the one whose quota roughly matches your real flying, not the one with the biggest number.

Why the free cards win for most people

Scapia and IndusInd Tiger cost nothing on our data and still give 8 or more domestic visits, Scapia only in months you spend ₹20,000. For a reader who flies four to eight times a year inside India, no paid card beats them on lounge value alone. A paid card has to justify its fee on rewards, not on the lounge. That is the honest reading of this table.

Why the lounge count on this page may not be the count you get

Lounge access is a contractual benefit, not a regulated entitlement. Paragraph 79 of the RBI’s Credit Cards and Debit Cards: Issuance and Conduct Directions, 2025 lets an issuer change card terms with 30 days’ notice. Most large issuers have used that to put domestic lounge visits behind a spend condition. These are the conditions on the issuers’ own pages as of 17 September 2026:

Card Domestic lounge condition International visits
Scapia Federal Bank Unlimited in a month with ₹20,000 combined spend None
IndusInd Bank Tiger 2 per quarter 2 a year via Priority Pass
HDFC Bank Infinia Unlimited, primary and add-on Unlimited via Priority Pass
HDFC Regalia Gold 3 per quarter from 1 July 2026, if you spent ₹60,000 in the previous quarter 6 a year via Priority Pass
Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank 2 vouchers per quarter on ₹50,000 spend in the quarter 4 a year, 1 per quarter
HDFC Millennia 1 visit or a ₹1,000 voucher per quarter on ₹1 lakh spend None
Axis Atlas By tier: 8, 12 or 18 a year; no spend condition By tier: 4, 6 or 12 a year
Axis ACE 4 a year, after ₹50,000 spend in the previous 3 calendar months None

HDFC Millennia now gives at most 4 domestic visits a year, fewer than the 8 in our card table. Check the Most Important Terms and Conditions before you count on a visit.

Three other things reduce the number you actually get. Guest visits normally come out of your own quota, and are often charged separately. Lounges join and leave the aggregator networks that issuers buy access through, so a lounge that worked last year may not work now. And most cards require a small verification swipe at the lounge desk, which is refunded but can fail.

Does lounge access matter more than the forex markup?

For an international traveller, no. The markup is the bigger number by a wide margin.

HDFC Infinia charges a 2% foreign currency markup. Axis Atlas charges 3.5%. Both figures are as of 5 September 2026 and match the issuers’ fee pages on 17 September 2026. Spend ₹5,00,000 abroad in a year and the difference is ₹7,500 in markup. GST at 18% applies on the markup, so the real gap is about ₹8,850. That is more than the entire Atlas annual fee. Scapia charges 0% markup, which is why it belongs on a travel shortlist even though it gives no international lounge access.

So the order of questions is: what is my forex markup, then what are my rewards, then how many lounges do I get. Our page on forex markup charges works through the full cost stack. If the trip is the point, start with the best travel credit cards instead.

What to check before you apply

  • Read the lounge clause in the MITC, not the marketing page. Only the MITC binds the issuer.
  • Check whether visits reset yearly or quarterly. A quarterly reset means unused visits are lost.
  • Check if a spend condition applies, and in which quarter it is measured.
  • Check whether the fee waiver spend is realistic for you. If it is not, treat the fee as certain.
  • Check the international network name. A card may list international visits that need a separate membership.

If you want a card that costs nothing at all, see the best lifetime free credit cards. If you are being sold a fee upgrade for lounge access, our page on credit card RBI rules explains what the issuer may and may not do without your consent. Full fee detail sits on credit card charges.

Frequently asked questions

Which credit card gives unlimited airport lounge access in India?

On the cards we track as of 5 September 2026, HDFC Bank Infinia states unlimited domestic and international lounge access, and it is invite-only. Scapia Federal Bank gives unlimited domestic access at no annual fee, but only in months you spend ₹20,000. Unlimited means no numeric cap today. The issuer can still change it with 30 days’ notice under paragraph 79 of the RBI’s 2025 card Directions.

Can I get airport lounge access on a free credit card?

Yes. On our data, Scapia Federal Bank, IndusInd Bank Tiger and IDFC FIRST Select carry no joining or annual fee and offer domestic lounge visits. Scapia needs ₹20,000 of spend in the month, and IndusInd Tiger adds 2 international visits a year. For most Indian flyers this is the whole answer, and the paid cards only make sense if their rewards stand up on their own.

Do lounge visits reset every year or every quarter?

It depends on the card, and the difference matters. A yearly quota can be used in one busy month. A quarterly quota expires unused. Issuers state this in the Most Important Terms and Conditions. Read that document, because the marketing page usually quotes only the annual total.

Does the annual fee on the table include GST?

Yes. Every fee shown here adds the 18% GST to the issuer’s published fee. A card advertised at ₹2,500 costs ₹2,950. Most comparison sites quote the pre-GST number, which understates the real cost by nearly a fifth.

Which cards are accepted at airport lounges?

Lounges accept the cards enrolled in the programme your issuer buys into, not every credit or debit card. International access usually runs through a Priority Pass membership the bank issues to you. Domestic access is by card swipe, voucher or app, depending on the bank. Check your issuer’s list of participating lounges before you fly.

Which credit card gives lounge access for family members?

HDFC Bank Infinia extends unlimited domestic and international access to add-on cardholders, so family members with add-on cards can use lounges on their own card. On most other cards a family member uses up one of your visits, or pays at the desk.

Will a guest get lounge access on my card?

Usually only by using up one of your own visits, or by paying at the desk. Guest entry is the most common reason a cardholder runs out of visits earlier than expected. Assume a guest costs you one visit unless the MITC says otherwise.
