Axis Bank issues two of the cards we review. Both are scored on the same formula as every other card in the credit cards section, so the ratings here are comparable with any other issuer’s.

How these are ranked
We rank cards by a published formula, never by preference and never by what pays us; the weights are set out on our methodology page. The reward rate shown is a realistic blended return for a normal spend mix, not the boosted headline rate that only applies to a few categories.
Check the annual fee first, against the spending needed to waive it. A card is only free if you were going to spend that much anyway — otherwise the waiver target costs you more to reach than the fee itself. Add 18% GST on top of every fee quoted above: a ₹5,000 card costs ₹5,900 a year to hold.
Other Axis Bank products
Cards are one part of what Axis Bank publishes. Its home loan starts at 8.00%, its personal loan at 10.99% and its fixed deposit at 6.50% for a general citizen — the rest of the bank is on the Axis Bank microsite.
Private sector bank. Floating retail loans are priced off an external benchmark, so RBI rate cuts pass through within a reset cycle. Card pricing is not benchmarked at all: the revolving finance charge is set by the issuer and typically runs about 42% a year.
