All Credit Cards

Every card we hold verified data on, with fee, blended reward rate and lounge access in one table.

This is our full card database. It holds 16 cards, checked against issuer terms as of 5 September 2026. That is not every card sold in India, and we will not pretend otherwise. A card enters this table when we have verified its fee, its reward structure and its lounge terms ourselves.

Read the table on two columns, not one. The annual fee is shown before GST, because that is how issuers publish it. The effective reward rate is our own blended estimate across a normal spend mix. It is deliberately not the accelerated rate an issuer advertises on a single category.

How to read the fee column

Every fee here excludes GST. Add 18% to get what leaves your account. The ₹12,500 on Infinia becomes ₹14,750. The ₹999 on SBI Cashback becomes ₹1,178.82. Issuers quote the pre-GST number, so comparison sites repeat it, and readers are surprised on the statement.

Several of these cards waive the fee at a spend threshold. SBI Cashback waives at ₹2,00,000 a year. Tata Neu Infinity waives at ₹3,00,000. Infinia waives at ₹10,00,000. A waiver you will not reach is not a discount, so measure the threshold against what you actually spend.

How to read the reward rate column

The effective rate is blended. It assumes a mixed basket of online, offline, fuel and travel spending. A card that pays 5% on one category and 1% everywhere else lands well below 5% here.

That is deliberate. The advertised rate is the rate on the issuer’s best case. The blended rate is closer to yours. Where your spending really is concentrated, the advertised rate matters more, and our reward value calculator will price it against your own numbers.

What this table cannot tell you

It cannot tell you whether you will be approved. Issuers use internal scorecards, and income, employer and existing card count all feed them. Our page on the credit score needed for a credit card sets out what each tier expects.

It also carries no star ratings and no ranking. We hold no user reviews, so a rating out of five would be a claim we cannot support. The columns are facts. The judgement is on each card’s own review page.

If you want a shortlist rather than a database, start with the cashback cards or, on a first card, the entry-level list.

Frequently asked questions

Which credit card has the best reward rate?

On our blended estimate, Axis Atlas at 4.5% in miles, then SBI Cashback at 4.2%. Atlas costs ₹5,000 before GST and only pays off if you redeem miles. SBI Cashback needs no redemption at all.

Is a lifetime-free credit card worth taking?

Usually yes as a second card. Amazon Pay ICICI, Scapia, IDFC FIRST Select, AU LIT, IndusInd Tiger and SBI Unnati all carry no annual fee in our data. A free card keeps your credit history long and your utilisation low.

How many credit cards should I hold?

Enough to cover your main spending categories, and no more than you can pay in full each month. Every extra card is another due date. Interest on a revolved balance dwarfs any reward rate in this table.

Why are only 16 cards listed?

Because we verify each entry against the issuer’s own terms. Adding cards we have not checked would make the list longer and less useful. We would rather be short and right.
