Axis Bank publishes one processing fee for its home loan: up to 1% of the loan amount or ₹10,000, whichever is higher, plus GST. That single line is the whole of the advertised fee — the charges that follow at sanction are quoted separately.

Where a fee is quoted exclusive of tax, add 18% GST to get what you actually pay. Legal and technical valuation charges, CERSAI registration and any bundled insurance sit outside the processing fee and are quoted separately at sanction.
What the fee sits on top of
The fee is a percentage of the loan, so it moves with the amount you borrow, not with the rate you are quoted. Axis Bank advertises this loan from 8.00% a year and its published range runs to 9.10% — the Axis Bank home loan interest rate page sets out where in that band an applicant lands. Put the fee and the rate together before you compare offers: a lower rate with a 1% fee can cost more over the first few years than a slightly higher rate with a capped one. The EMI calculator will show you the monthly figure the rate produces.
Closing early is a separate question from opening. On a floating-rate home loan to an individual borrower there is no foreclosure charge, which is covered in foreclosure and prepayment charges.
How it compares
On the advertised rate, Axis Bank is joint 10th cheapest of the 12 providers we track for home loans — 0.85% above Canara Bank at 7.15%. The full ranking, with every figure dated, is in home loan interest rates today.
